My love of Photography
Photography is a way to preserve a moment in time. It's a way to document a place, an event, or a part of someone's life. Taking photos of Florida, the real Florida is my way to recharge. I'm a Florida native & want to share my love of Florida with everyone. Florida has so much beauty that gets overlooked because of our theme parks & our beaches.
We are losing so much of our history and past. Photography is a way to preserve a place, building, landscape, or streetscape. I have a love of capturing the character & the uniqueness of a building or subject. I try to research & share as much information as possible about the subject of my photos. Instead of just sharing my photographs, I hope to help the viewer learn more about the subject. There are so many cool small towns and old landmarks in Florida. I choose to take the backroads when I travel. I search out old buildings, places, or towns. We have so much hidden history all around us.
I also have a fascination with Flora & Fauna. I love to learn about the plants and animals in our great state. I travel & visit as many parks as I can. Florida has 11 National Parks, 175 State Parks, 184 Wildlife Management Areas, 29 Wildlife Refuge Areas, and many more county or city parks. There is a park for every ability or adventure. We just have to get back to enjoying nature and the great outdoors.
A few of my photos are from areas outside of Florida. I have a passion for road trips & exploring. Sometimes I get to explore other states.
